| Beth Franklin has been married to Philip Franklin for 23 years (this year in December). They have three children: Pierce, who will be 18 in October, Perry, age 13, and Braeleigh, age 10. Her children attend school in the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District, which is also where her husband is a Pre-Calculus teacher and a football and golf coach.
Beth has a Bachelor of Science degree in Educational Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A & M University with a specialization in English. She taught in public schools for 20 years before she “retired” to give her own children more attention. She has taught every subject to 4th, 5th, and 6th graders in three different school districts: Channelview Independent School District, Pasadena Independent School District, and Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District.
Beth and her family are very active at their church, Jersey Village Church of Christ, where she and her husband both teach Bible class for part of the year, among other activities as well. When not busy with church activities, the Franklins are busy following high school sports being played by Pierce or being coached by Philip. They manage to fit in golf for Braeleigh and singing in The Houston Choral Society for Beth and Pierce.
Beth enjoyed her two years out of the classroom but enjoyed even more the opportunity to teach science at PREP, which she has done now for 3 years. Out of all of the subjects that can be taught, she finds science to be the most interesting. She always strives to instill a love for science in all of her students. |

| I’m a retired general practitioner who has been teaching math and science at New Covenant Christian Academy (1995 through 2000), HomeEdPlus ( Sept. 2000 – May 2008) and The Light House Education Center ( Sept. 2001 - Present). This will be my third year teaching at PREP.
I received my BS and MS degrees in biochemistry from Mississippi State University and have a MD degree from U.T. Medical School in Houston. When my children became school age, I quit full time practice to become active in Christian education. Since I was personally home schooled by my parents and do not have a high school diploma, MSU admitted me solely on my entrance level exam scores and the presentation of the curriculum my parents used.
I accepted Christ into my life at the age of fourteen and believe that the Bible is a testimony of God and that it is the ultimate source of knowledge I teach all my courses from a Biblical perspective.

| I have taught Elementary Spanish at PREP for 9 years and Junior High for 5 years. I have also taught at Home Ed Plus for the past 8 years. The Light House in Magnolia is another location that I teach. Spanish is my first language. I have been an active member at Jersey Village Baptist Church for 14 years and have taught Mission Friends for 11 years. I am now a new member at Kingsland Baptist Church and have started teaching Team Kids. I have helped at an Apartment Ministry for about 12 years. Vacation Bible School has been the biggest highlight of my summers since 1995, where I am able to share God's Love with the Hispanic children in that area. Teaching others to speak Spanish is just one more way to teach them to tell others about Christ's Love. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 34 years and God blessed us with two great children. Jessica is 25 and Moses is 12. |

| Grace Cooper |
| Email: grace.cooper@whheprep.org |
| Mrs. Cooper just completed 17 years as a homeschool mom last May when her son, the youngest of her two children, graduated from home. Her daughter also graduated from home and is now married and living in Houston. This will be Grace's 15th year teaching Spanish in the homeschool community. She grew up with Spanish as her first language, took it in high school and tested out of it at UT-Austin. She tries to teach Spanish with a missionary emphasis, because she knows first hand the difference a bilingual person can make in reaching the lost for Christ. She is pleased that a small percentage of her former students report they decided to minor in Spanish as well as many other students report gaining college credit through placement tests. She loves teaching the middle school and high school students the community has entrusted to her and hopes they develop a life long reason for using the language. Grace and her family are members of Kingsland Baptist Church in Katy, Texas.

| Peggy Clark |
| Email: peggy.clark@whheprep.org |
This year marks the beginning of Peggy’s 17th year of homeschooling three children. Her eldest is a graduate of Oral Roberts University , her second plans on attending ministry school, and the youngest plans to keep her company for the next few years. Although this will be her first year to teach at PREP, she has experience teaching homeschoolers in several writing and literature co-ops. She has enjoyed seeing her students graduate to college, using their writing skills to pursue their dreams. She hopes to inspire her PREP students to fulfill their potential in the same way.
In college, Peggy’s love for science and art led her into the field of Medical Illustration—but the haunting smell of formaldehyde caused her to take a different route—she could handle most anything but that! Therefore, she will use these skills—minus the smell—to offer a fun and exciting two-year (4th-5th grade) introductory class. As a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University , she loves children’s literature, writing, science and art. Peggy and her family are members of Encourager Church .
