Parent-Student Orientation
Parent-Student Orientation for PREP Classes is a very important step in a successful year for both the students and their parents. Since classes meet only once or in some cases twice a week, the teachers need to be able to use all of the teaching time to teach. Orientation is a time for students and parents to have procedure and organization questions answered and learn policies so that class time does not need to be sacrificed too often for this. Vital information is given out by each teacher at orientation that will help you and your child become acclimated to that teacher and the atmosphere at PREP. After attending orientation students should feel more prepared for the first day of class, and parents should feel confident about their role in PREP.
*Check-in where you will receive a folder with orientation details as well as a page stating if any paperwork or registration fee is still owed.
*General Session where information that concerns all families will be announced; for example, traffic flow patterns, church policies, etc.
*Teacher Sessions where you will meet with your student's teacher and learn her classroom procedures, the best way to get in touch with her, and many other important details.
West (Katy) Campus orientation will be held August 14 from 9 a.m. until noon. Northwest (Cypress) Campus orientation is scheduled for August 21 from 9 a.m. until noon.
